What will your day to day look like?
This is true senior, hands-on mechanic role. As #1 Mechanic you’ll be managing all test car and assembly build activities, as well as providing trackside vehicle build and leading test mechanics groups for all test events, An average week might include:
- Managing test car and rig build activities
- Making sure the test team are adhering to HSE policies
- Capturing all test hardware usage for recording in lifing software
- Ensuring the test team pit equipment is available and to-spec
- Highlighting any faults to the design and engineering teams
- Building up and packing down set up environments
- Championing continuous improvement
Success in this role looks making sure test car and assembly build activities run smoothly, on time, and follow the right processes.
This role will suit you if you…
- Have worked as a #1 mechanic at a race or rally team
- Can handle test car and assembly build activities
- Are familiar with HV vehicle operating protocols
- Know how to handle a varied workload
