Pain points in the market (and how they can be solved)

By Andy Martin

The market is in an interesting state right now.

There's a lot of companies experiencing growth due to large rounds of funding, which means a lot of new roles that need to be filled. We’re constantly having conversations across the market with managers in a hiring capacity, and we've noticed common trends in the pain points being experienced. I wanted to highlight what these main issues are, and not-so-subtly show how partnering with an external recruitment team can help to overcome these…

Poor quality of candidates

We've found that internal teams can waste a lot of resources either sorting through poorly qualified candidates or vetting candidates that don't have the necessary soft skills or might not be a good cultural fit for the company. This is a valuable resource that internal teams would much prefer to use on other aspects of the recruitment process.

Working with an external recruitment team can help you allocate internal resources to the more impactful parts of recruitment. We sort through all the candidates and complete the vetting process for you. We take a brief for the role, and we will only deliver strong, qualified candidates who are interview-ready for your internal team to move forward with.

Influx of applicants

In this AI revolution we are currently amid, it is easier than ever for candidates to mass apply for roles. If you're in a hiring capacity, you'll know first-hand how many more applicants there are for roles advertised on job boards compared to a few years ago. This sheer volume of applicants makes finding the good ones to move forward with harder than ever.

As recruiters, we are here to cut through this noise. We know the sort of candidate you are after, and we know where the best place is to find them. Work with us to avoid 'doom scrolling' through a large number of potentially unsuitable candidates.

Finding that star candidate

Everyone and their mother wants to find the best talent they can to fill their open roles. But it's easier said than done. We've worked with talent teams in the past who think they know what the perfect candidate will look like in terms of experience and skillset, when actually the right candidate is almost the complete opposite.
There seems to be a focus from internal teams on getting employees from direct competitors, but our broader views allow us to identify aligned companies that may be in the blind spot of internal talent teams. Clients are increasingly seeking diverse, innovative teams to break the mould and bring new energy to their company. Our team has the experience in the industry to find talent with transferable skills to do exactly that.

Time

The last pain point we hear consistently is about time. The full recruitment process can take a LONG time. With the huge number of applicants, internal talent teams find they simply don't have the time to fully vet candidates.
Working with an external recruitment partner can help give you the gift of time (that is the greatest gift of all, other than laughter).  Freeing up your time allows you to work on the parts of recruitment where you can make the biggest impact, and you will be doing so with a selection of some of the best candidates we can find.
