You’ve got the educational background, the skills to back it up, and a real passion for all things tyre engineering. What will your day to day look like?
This role is all about performance.
You’ll split your time between modelling in the factory, and supercharging performance trackside. An average week might include:
- Defining and executing tyre testing plans
- Attending dyno, trailer sessions, and track testing
- Performing tyre modelling that’s focused on mechanical and thermal performance
- Working with simulation to integrate tyre performance insights
- Conducting track surface measurements to influence tyre setup
- Providing recommendations on car set up for test sessions
- Analysing test data to identify areas for improvement
This role will suit you if you...
- Are degree educated in mechanical/automotive engineering or similar
- Have worked in tyres for over 5 years
- Have experience in motorsports environments
- Really understand tyre dynamics, including mechanical and thermal behaviour
- Understand simulation tools (MATLAB/Simulink)
- Love problem solving and getting deep into technical detail
- Know how to present technical findings clearly
