The conversations you enjoy most aren't product demos. They're the ones where you sit down with a customer, understand how their network operates, and help them solve problems that really matter.

This role puts you at the heart of complex utility projects, working with transmission and distribution operators to show how technology can improve asset management, grid operations, and network performance. You'll combine your technical knowledge with a consultative approach, working alongside sales while becoming a trusted voice throughout the buying journey.

If you enjoy solving technical challenges, collaborating with customers, and being valued for your expertise rather than your presentation skills, this is a great opportunity to join a growing team with plenty of interesting problems still to solve.

Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?
Our client builds software that helps energy companies and utility providers make smarter decisions about the networks and infrastructure that keep power flowing. By bringing together data, planning and analytics in one place, they help organisations improve reliability, invest more effectively and support the transition to a more sustainable future.

As an employer, they're all about supporting their people to grow. You'll be given ongoing training opportunities, a clear career path forward for your future, and benefit from a culture that's focused on getting the best out of people.

What will your day to day look like?
You’ll work closely with the sales team to understand customer challenges, shape technical solutions, and show how specialist software can support utilities and energy organisations with better asset, outage, and network management.

•    Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities and understand customer requirements
•    Lead discovery sessions to uncover technical challenges, operational needs, and business priorities
•    Translate customer requirements into tailored solution designs and technical proposals
•    Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept projects
•    Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and technical questionnaires
•    Design solutions aligned with customer infrastructure, processes, and regulatory requirements
•    Work with Product, Engineering, Delivery, and Sales teams to validate feasibility, scope, pricing, and timelines
•    Act as a trusted technical advisor to prospective customers and partners
•    Support the handover from pre-sales into implementation
•    Maintain technical documentation, solution templates, and demo environments
•    Share customer feedback and market insight to support product development

You’ll have the opportunity to work on international projects, build deeper expertise across energy and utility software, and grow your career within a fast-scaling business.

This role will suit you if you…
•    Have 3–7 years’ experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting
•    Understand enterprise software, SaaS platforms, or energy and utility systems
•    Have knowledge of EAM, APM, AIP, OMS, network modelling, asset analytics, or protection-related data environments
•    Can translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
•    Are confident presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences
•    Have experience working with TSOs, DSOs, utilities, energy management, or infrastructure customers
•    Understand data integration, APIs, cloud platforms, or analytics tools
•    Are commercially aware and comfortable supporting sales conversations
•    Can work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams
•    Have a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Energy Systems, or a related field
•    Enjoy solving complex customer problems in an international environment
