Are you an expert relationship builder with a strong working knowledge of Building Management Solutions? Interested in joining a powerhouse in the Smart Building Technology and Automation industry? This Specification Sales Engineer role will put you directly into project sites across the Midlands, creating bespoke specifications for enterprise sales building projects at RIBA stages 2 & 3.

What will your day to day look like?
Your focus will be on working with the technical architects in creating specifications of our client’s portfolio of products on building projects around the Midlands. Key responsibilities in this role include:

•    Identifying new business opportunities with consultants and contractors, with emphasis on driving new business growth in the given territory. The client's complex solutions need to be at the heart of any project
•    Creating bespoke specifications for each project site, putting these specifications out to tender for partnering companies
•    Promoting the company and their solutions at conferences, industry events, and meetings
•    Keeping a constant eye on developments in the market, particularly the competitive landscape, to stay a step ahead of the competition
•    Consistently contributing to the development of the Building Management System strategy, feeding back findings from the market and your conversations with contractors

This role will suit you if you…
•    Have at least 5 years’ experience in Smart Building Technology and Automation, specifically in Government, Healthcare, and Commercial
•    Have an existing network of M&E Consultants, Contractors, etc in the Midlands that can be utilised in this role
•    Are familiar with RIBA stages 2 & 3, and how to get the best opportunities from these stages
•    Can showcase a strong technical understanding of building management solutions, as well as a working knowledge of the competitive landscape in the Midlands
•    Are able to build long-term, commercially sound relationships in this market with ease
•    Can consistently travel around the Midlands to project sites for around 50% of the working week
