What if your reliability analysis didn't just sit in a technical report, but actively influenced how some of the UK's most complex, safety-critical systems are designed and delivered?

We're working with a fast-growing, PE-backed digital engineering business that's investing heavily in its UK operations and looking for an experienced Senior Reliability Engineer to play a key role in its expanding nuclear engineering team.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of technically challenging projects, work alongside highly skilled engineering specialists, and help shape decisions where safety, performance and reliability are non-negotiable.

You'll be joining an international technology business at an exciting stage of growth, combining the backing of new majority investors with ambitious plans to expand its digital engineering capabilities.

Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?
You'll be at the centre of complex nuclear engineering projects, using your expertise in Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) to identify risks, optimise system performance and influence critical design decisions.

Rather than simply producing analysis, you'll have the opportunity to turn technical findings into meaningful engineering improvements.

What will your day to day look like?
  • Leading RAM studies, reliability assessments and modelling across complex engineering projects.
  • Applying techniques including FMEA/FMECA, Fault Tree Analysis, Reliability Block Diagrams and reliability prediction.
  • Using reliability modelling software to assess system availability and validate design requirements.
  • Working directly with customers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop practical reliability strategies.
  • Taking ownership of technical deliverables, project budgets and timelines.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the development of a growing technical team.

This role will suit you if you…
We're looking for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and can confidently translate technical analysis into practical recommendations.
You'll ideally bring:
  • 4+ years' experience in reliability engineering, systems engineering, asset management or a related discipline.
  • A degree in engineering, mathematics, physics or a relevant technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with RAM analysis, FMEA/FMECA, FTA, RBD, FRACAS, MTBF or Reliability-Centred Maintenance.
  • Strong analytical skills and the confidence to engage with customers and senior technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in nuclear, defence, aerospace, rail, oil & gas, energy or another highly regulated engineering environment.
  • You don't need to come directly from nuclear. If you've developed strong reliability engineering expertise in another safety-critical industry, this could be an excellent opportunity to transition into the sector.
  • Due to the nature of the projects, applicants must be British nationals and eligible to obtain the necessary UK security clearances.

Why consider this opportunity?
  • Real technical influence. Your recommendations will help shape the design, safety and performance of complex engineering systems.
  • An exciting growth journey. Join an established international digital engineering business entering a new phase of expansion following significant private equity investment.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge engineering. Work within a business at the forefront of digital twins, simulation, advanced engineering and industrial technology.
  • Career progression. Take ownership of challenging projects, develop your technical leadership capabilities and help shape a growing engineering team.
