Solutions Engineer
North America
£110,000 - £140,000
You know great sales engineering is about more than running demos. It’s about understanding customer problems, shaping technical conversations, and becoming a genuine partner in the sales process. You’ve worked in SaaS before and you enjoy sitting at the point where product, technology, and commercial conversations all come together.
What matters now is ownership. The chance to influence deals from start to finish, have your voice heard, and work with software that solves real-world problems. You want more than being brought in at the end of the process. You want visibility, technical influence, and the opportunity to grow into more senior solutions-focused roles over time.
In this Sales Engineer role, you’ll play a key part in supporting the growth of a globally trusted construction safety platform, working closely with the sales team to help accelerate growth and improve customer outcomes. You’ll be involved in the technical side of deals from early conversations through to solution design, helping shape both customer decisions and feedback into the wider business.
Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?
We have partnered with a company that is widely regarded as being one of the most trusted safety intelligence platforms in the construction industry. They are a team that's focused on building a safer, smarter, and better future together. Their innovative approach to work and empowerment of teams and individuals alike has led them to achieve impressive levels of sustainable growth.
As an employer, they offer all their employees a wide range of benefits upon joining including flexible working arrangements, pension plans, and even employer funded health benefits for you and your dependents.
What will your day to day look like?
You’ll be supporting the technical side of the sales process, from discovery and demos through to technical validation, proof-of-concepts, and customer conversations. Your day to day could include:
• Running strong technical discovery and product demonstrations with enterprise customers
• Helping shape modern, structured sales calls that stay focused on the customer’s priorities
• Sitting with the development team to learn the software inside and out
• Answering technical questions around product capability, integrations, security, deployment, and workflows
• Partnering with Sales on solution design, RFIs, RFPs, technical validation, and proof-of-concepts
• Coaching and supporting internal industry specialists as they develop stronger Sales Engineering skills
• Bringing structure, polish, and technical confidence into customer-facing conversations
• Sharing customer feedback with Product and Engineering to help influence roadmap priorities
This is a dynamic role, so the responsibilities are likely to evolve as the company continues to grow.
This role will suit you if you…
• Are an experienced Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or technical pre-sales professional
• Have strong technical presentation skills and know how to run engaging, customer-led demos
• Understand modern sales call dynamics and how to support complex B2B software sales cycles
• Can learn a technical product in depth and confidently answer detailed customer questions
• Can communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Enjoy coaching others and helping less experienced team members improve their sales engineering approach
• Have experience with SaaS platforms, APIs, integrations, mobile applications, or cloud-based software
• Bring a consultative, problem-solving mindset to customer conversations
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with plenty of autonomy
Experience in construction, construction safety, EHS, field operations, connected worker software, or construction management technology would be useful, but it is not essential. The priority is professional Sales Engineering experience, strong technical presentation capability, and the ability to raise the standard of how technical sales is delivered.
