Project Engineer
US South
$78,000 - $82,000
You’re ready to take ownership of the whole project, not just one part of it. From the first engineering decisions through to delivery, you want to be the person keeping things moving, solving problems, and making sure the end result works as it should.
As a Project Engineer, you’ll manage multiple HVAC&R projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working across engineering, production, and other teams to turn requirements into practical solutions. You’ll use your technical judgement to make decisions, influence others, and keep projects on track from start to finish.
This role will suit someone who already understands HVAC&R equipment and manufacturing methods, but wants more responsibility and visibility. If you’re organised, technically confident, and comfortable juggling several projects at once, this is a chance to take a much bigger role in how things get delivered.
Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?
Our client specialises in the design and production of engineered heating, cooling and refrigeration systems. Operating through several specialised divisions, our client produces custom HVAC and refrigeration equipment used in industries such as food storage, data centres, energy and manufacturing.
With its company’s values of continuous improvement, collaboration and employee empowerment, our client provides the best service to not just its systems but it’s staff. They prove this through fostering a genuinely positive work environment, as well as providing a benefits package designed to improve their people’s work and life. This includes generous PTO, comprehensive health coverage, and 401k matching from day one.
What will your day to day look like?
You’ll support the design and production of HVACR equipment, helping projects move from customer requirements through to technical design, documentation and manufacturing support.
- Oversee assigned HVACR equipment design and production projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and reports
- Ensure technical documentation is accurate and aligned with engineering procedures
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates, issues and key developments
- Lead or support engineering tasks across assigned projects
- Assist designers with structural product design using CAD and drafting tools
- Specify system components or product modifications to meet design and performance requirements
- Review customer proposals, specifications and manuals to assess feasibility, cost and maintenance needs
- Provide feedback on customer problems, requirements and potential solutions
- Estimate costs and support bid preparation where needed
- Work closely with Sales, Production and other internal teams
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment and follow company procedures
You’ll play an important role in supporting technical delivery, helping ensure HVACR products are designed, documented and produced to meet customer and performance requirements.
