Graduate Medical Sales - West Midlands
UK West
Picture the scene. You’ve recently graduated from your Biomedical Sciences, Sports Science, or similar degree. You’re thinking about what you want to do next. You quite fancy medical device sales, and you’d love to work for a company that’ll support you through training, give you the tools you need, and guide you towards your first promotion. Well, as luck would have it, we might have the perfect role for you.
Our client – an endoscopy specialist – are looking to hire a Graduate Sales Specialist for their West Midlands region who’s looking to break into the industry.
Who's it for and what's in it for you?
This company is all about endoscopy. For decades they’ve been bringing the latest tech to the market, with the ultimate goal of supporting surgical procedures across the worlds – in both human and veterinary medicine. They’re also hot on making sure their customer service is top notch, working hard to keep their customers happy and their products running smoothly for years.
What’s it like working there? Well, this is one of the best training opportunities we’ve seen for graduates looking to get into medical sales. From fully guided skills development that builds over time, to mentoring from more senior members of the team, you’ll be totally supported as you build to an Associate position.
They also offer a whole host of benefits. Think access to BUPA healthcare schemes, generous annual leave, mental wellbeing support through an EAP scheme, a company car, the option to buy extra holiday, discounts on your high street shopping, and more.
What will your day to day look like?
At the core of this role is sales support and case coverage through some really robust training. The idea is that you’ll get up to speed quickly, and into a fully-fledged Associate position in no time (usually 12 months). Here’s what your day to day as a trainee might look like:
- Working through your training under supervision of your team
- Contributing to the endoscopic sales team
- Training customers on the product portfolio
- Overseeing product demonstrations in clinical environments
- Gathering and feeding back on customer experience, competitors, and leads
- Keeping records up to date on the database
- Attending and contributing to sales meetings
- Getting involved in the sales process, like raising quotes and securing orders
- Going to exhibitions and conferences
This role will suit you if you...
- Want to kick start your career in medical device sales
- Have a degree in Biomedical Science, Sports Science, or similar
- Ideally have some commercial experience (think a part-time, sales focused job)
- Are able to travel across the territory – a driving license is a must
- Have great organisational skills
- Love building relationships and talking to clinicians
- Have an understanding of human anatomy
