This Finance Director role gives you that. You’ll join the senior leadership team, taking responsibility for strengthening systems, guiding performance, and helping set the direction of the business as it scales. Our client is a technology company that helps manufacturers better understand what’s going on inside their equipment while it’s actually in use. Put simply, they create smart sensing tools that quietly collect useful performance data from things like vehicles, machinery and tyres, so businesses can run more efficiently, reduce risk and avoid costly problems before they happen.


What will your day to day look like?

This role sits at the heart of the business. Both operational and strategic, you’ll work closely with the Board to strengthen financial insight, control and systems. Here’s just some of what you’ll be doing:
 

• Leading on all aspects of financial reporting
• Identifying opportunities to improve margin, performance, and efficiency
• Making sure activities comply with all relevant regulations
• Maintaining strong financial controls, policies and audit readiness
• Leading on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Keeping cash flow and liquidity management running smoothly
• Managing banking relationships and financing arrangements
• Owning and optimising Sage and procurement systems
• Driving digital transformation across finance
• Supporting compliance and investor-related activities
• Leading and developing the wider finance team
• Overseeing risk, tax and HMRC compliance, and grant reporting

This role will suit you if you…
 

• Are ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• Have 10+ years’ experience post-qualification
• Have worked in an environment that has investor stakeholders
• Know how to improve finance systems (ideally Sage)
• Are comfortable in a scaling technology, engineering, or manufacturing environment
• Love getting hands-on in your leadership approach
