You’ve built your career in automotive technology, and now you’re looking for a role where you can really lead from the front and set a roadmap for the future.
In this role, you’ll take full control of product development and set the long-term technical strategy for a business that backs bold ideas with real industry credibility and decades of automotive pedigree.
Here, you’ll own the entire product development cycle and shape the roadmap for future technologies. And you’ll do this by working directly with the CEO (who started in this exact position) giving you visibility, mentorship and a clear path to influence at the highest level.
With a strong history behind you and grand plans ahead, you’ll have everything you need to push the boundaries of automotive technology and really make your mark.
What will your day to day look like?
You’ll own the product development cycle from concept to launch, ensuring each stage delivers maximum impact. You’ll develop both long-term strategic visions and short-term tactical objectives, to steer the business’ technological evolution for the future.
Here’s just some of the things you’ll be doing:
- Defining and executing strategic technological plans for the business
- Setting the roadmap for future technologies
- Handling the full product development lifecycle
- Leading and mentoring the engineering team to achieve great things
- Building strong, productive relationships (internally and externally)
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Setting and managing KPIs for the engineering team
It’s not an understatement to say you’ll the be the technical visionary for the business in this role, and success will look like best-in-class performance, achieving technological advancements, and a developing a team that delivers.
This role will suit you if you…
- Have at least 10 years’ experience in automotive tech, specifically engineering
- Know how to think both long-term strategy and short-term tactics
- Have previously had component and system level delivery responsibility
- Properly understand vehicle development and modern propulsion systems
- Have a deep knowledge of ICE and EV engines
- Can handle full product lifecycle management
- Love being a hands-on, proactive leader and getting the best out of people
- Are someone who thrives in periods of technological change and transition
