Chief Commercial Officer
UK Wide
£135,000 - £150,000
You've led commercial teams before. You've built strategies, driven growth, and kept sales workstreams moving whilst not losing sight of the bigger picture. You love being hands-on, raising the bar, and you know how to create a culture where performance is part of its DNA. What you want now is a role where you can really shape the future of a business.
You’re looking for something that gives you the combination of board-level strategic influence, a product that solves real problems, and a business that has the foundations and the ambition to scale properly. You’re motivated by long-term impact, by building a GTM engine that delivers sustained ARR growth, and by knowing the direction of travel has your fingerprint on it.
This CCO role offers you that opportunity. You'd be working for a scaling SaaS business with a clear mission and a team that are all behind it.
What's in it for you?
This is a true commercial leadership role where you’ll have the autonomy to own and build something brilliant. You’ll sit on the senior leadership team, giving you both visibility and a great opportunity to access direct mentorship and guidance from the most senior people in the business.
There’s real reward, visibility, and impact on offer. As a member of the senior leadership team, you’ll not only benefit from their company-wide benefits package - which includes enhanced parental leave, annual funded professional development and a generous annual leave entitlement to name just a few elements – but you’ll also be given an equity stake in the business. This gives you a meaningful long-term financial reward that’s directly influenced by the work that you’ll be doing and the value you’ll create.
The culture you’ll join is collaborative, inclusive, and incredibly mission driven, and you’ll play a part in leading a close-knit team that are all aligned behind a common goal.
What will your day to day look like?
The core of this role is driving ARR through account expansion, new business acquisition and partnerships.
You’ll also be tasked with building – via internal development/coaching and external hiring - a high-performance sales and marketing team whilst establishing the rigor and structure needed to really scale.
How you’ll do that? An average week might include:
- Owning, executing and developing GTM, commercial and marketing strategies
- Refining short- and medium-term sales plans
- Building a robust sales pipeline across all channels
- Being a hands-on sales and marketing leader
- Building and maintaining a sales process that maximises sales growth
- Developing accurate revenue forecasts that provide confidence in KPIs for the SLT
- Managing budgets aligned to your activities
- Attracting high-calibre salespeople to the team through external recruitment
- Coaching and developing the sales team
- Developing the Marketing function into a growth engine for the business
- Driving a high-performance culture in the business
- Working collaboratively with the whole of the SLT and across departments
This role reports directly into the Managing Director of the business.
