You love getting technical. Supporting customers to get the best out of their tech. Making sure installation processes run seamlessly. Now you’re looking for a new role that gives you the combination of technical ownership, time with customers, and the opportunity to progress and grow.

If that sounds like you, this Application Engineer role could be the perfect next step in your career. You’ll join a fast-growing, well-funded sensor tech business who have got ambitious plans for the future and want you to be part of them.

Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?

This is a company that partners with their industrial partners to improve overall efficiency of their processes. Time is money, so an increasingly efficient production process can save a company thousands over time; our client’s software solutions are up there with the best in the industry to make this level of efficiency possible.

As for working there, you’ll join a talented team in a VC-backed start-up that’s constantly pushing boundaries. You’ll also get access to a solid benefits package that covers the big stuff – like matched pension, and health cover – as well as added bonuses like flexible working arrangements, discounts on your shopping, and funded courses for your professional development.

Plus they’ve got a ‘no bad ideas’ policy, so if you’ve got ambitions you can make an impact.

What will your day to day look like?

This role is all about supporting customer installations and driving high levels of customer satisfaction. You’ll be involved at all stages of the process, from pre-sales to sales to project management. An average week might include:

  • Managing client installation projects with large pharma customers
  • Reviewing P&IDs and technical information
  • Visiting sites and conducting surveys on installation locations
  • Analysing data and reporting on savings to customers
  • Recommending improvements to the technical teams
  • Handling new applications and determining business cases

Success in this role looks supporting the business to increase their client base and delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.

This role will suit you if you…
  • Have 3+ years’ experience in an applications engineering role
  • Are degree educated in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Understand piping and instrumentation diagrams
  • Love problem solving and getting stuck into challenges
  • Understand data processes and analytics (like Python or R)
  • Are comfortable travelling, occasionally internationally
