You’ve sold SaaS into electric power, utilities, IPPs, or trading environments before, and you know how to keep momentum moving. 

This Account Executive role is about winning new business with data and analytics solutions that help customers make smarter decisions across the power market. You’ll own the sales cycle, build relationships with senior stakeholders, and turn complex market challenges into a clear commercial case.

What will your day to day look like? 
You’ll be responsible for winning new customers across your territory, building pipeline and helping organisations understand the value of data and analytics software in the power and energy markets. 
  • Build and execute a territory plan focused on new business growth 
  • Identify, qualify and develop new customer opportunities 
  • Manage prospects through a consultative sales process 
  • Engage senior, executive and C-level stakeholders 
  • Understand customer requirements and map them to the right software solution 
  • Lead discovery, presentation, demonstration and negotiation meetings 
  • Build clear business cases around market data, analytics and trading decision support 
  • Partner with technical sales, marketing and support teams to move opportunities forward 
  • Maintain accurate account plans, pipeline updates and forecasts in Salesforce 
  • Track industry news, trends and competitor activity across energy trading markets 
  • Manage multiple opportunities, deadlines and customer conversations at once 
  • Travel across your territory when needed for customer meetings and events 

You’ll play a key role in expanding new account revenue and helping customers make better decisions in a fast-moving power and energy market. 


This role will suit you if you… 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a new business sales role. 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in SaaS for Energy Markets, preferably the power industry, calling on Executive and C-Level contacts 
  • Successful history of over-quota sales achievements and B2B negotiations, including formulating deal structures.   
  • Understand the power energy industry and how to sell to executive-level stakeholders 
  • Have successful history of over-quota sales achievements and B2B negotiations, including formulating deal structures.  
  • Can manage complex B2B negotiations and deal structures 
  • Are confident using a consultative, solution-led sales approach 
  • Know how to build pipeline through prospecting and territory planning 
  • Can engage senior stakeholders and challenge customer thinking respectfully 
  • Are comfortable presenting, demonstrating and explaining technical software solutions 
  • Use Salesforce confidently to manage pipeline, forecasting and account activity 
  • Work well independently while collaborating with technical, marketing and support teams 
  • Are motivated by growth, learning and solving complex customer challenges 

Experience selling ETRM, energy trading, risk management, modelling platforms or data analytics software would be especially useful.
