Account Executive - Japan
Middle East & Asia
20,000,000 - 30,000,000
You understand complex software sales in industrial environments. Manufacturing, IIoT, MES/MOM, connected operations, data infrastructure, AI-driven optimisation. You’ve sold into technical markets before, and you know how to build credibility with customers who need more than a surface-level sales conversation.
This is not a transactional sales role. You’ll be working with manufacturers who are modernising how their operations run, connect, and scale. That means understanding customer challenges, asking the right questions, working through multi-stakeholder buying processes, and turning technical capability into a clear business case around uptime, throughput, quality, safety and cost reduction.
This Account Executive role comes at an exciting time. You’ll be joining a company with the scale, backing, and customer base of established industrial software brands, but with the pace and ambition of a newly formed growth business. It’s a brilliant opportunity if you want more ownership, more visibility, and the chance to build long-term relationships in a market that is only becoming more important.
Who’s it for and what’s in it for you?
Our client is shaping the future of industrial manufacturing by helping manufacturers modernise operations through their advanced automation, AI, IoT, and connected data platforms. Combining the scale and resources of established names with the agility of a newly formed high-growth business, they support thousands of customers worldwide across mission-critical manufacturing environments.
And the growth opportunities in this company are almost unlimited. With the wide range of industries this software is applicable in and the quality of the platform on offer, you will be joining at a pivotal stage of growth and be part of their journey. If you thrive in a culture that’s defined by collaboration, speed, and ambition, then this is the perfect opportunity to build a long-term, lasting impact in a crucial industry.
What will your day to day look like?
This is an individual contributor role for someone who can manage complex sales conversations with confidence, independence, and commercial judgement. You’ll be trusted to develop accounts, lead opportunities, and work closely with internal teams to deliver clear value to customers. Some of your daily responsibilities will include:
• Managing a portfolio of enterprise customers, named accounts, and prospects
• Building account plans that align with customer modernisation and operational goals
• Leading complex sales cycles from qualification through to close
• Identifying land-and-expand opportunities across connectivity, MES/MOM, analytics, and industrial applications
• Positioning the company as a partner for industrial modernisation and operational resilience
• Translating technical capability into clear business outcomes around uptime, throughput, quality, safety, and cost reduction
• Building and maintaining a well-qualified pipeline
• Sharing market and customer feedback to help shape product, packaging, and go-to-market thinking
This role will suit you if you…
• Have around 8+ years of software sales experience
• Have a track record of selling complex software into enterprise or mid-market customers into industrial, manufacturing, asset-intensive, or technically complex environments
• Understand longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and buying centres
• Have experience selling IIoT, MES/MOM, industrial software, enterprise SaaS, infrastructure, platform, data, or mission-critical software
• Can build trust with both technical and commercial stakeholders
• Know how to uncover customer challenges and turn them into a clear value-led sales conversation
• Are disciplined around pipeline management, forecasting, and account planning
• Can operate independently while still collaborating closely with the wider team
• Are comfortable in a business that is growing, evolving, and moving quickly
