Attracting best in class leadership to support PE-backed hyper growth

Ideagen provides highly innovative software solutions and services that help organisations to achieve operational excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce risk. They've shown exceptional growth, both organically and through over 30 acquisitions to date, and de-listed in 2022 following a £1 billion+ private equity investment.  

What was the brief?  

In 2020 we met Ben Dorks, the Chief Executive Officer, to discuss his aspirations for Ideagen and how we could support the evolution and expansion of the organisation. A key factor for success was building a process for attracting and selecting world class leadership talent that would enable this next phase in Ideagen’s journey.  These appointments would need to bring cognitive diversity, best in class experience of leading enterprise scale SaaS business functions and be able to thrive in a highly changeable and dynamic environment.

So what has FMC delivered? 

The FMC process has been designed to provide Ideagen with access to an outstanding and diverse shortlist of talent for each assignment, many of whom who are ‘off market’ and only accessible due to our long-standing relationships. This ensures we present the highest possible calibre of candidates specifically targeted on the basis of cultural fit, expertise, and alignment. 

Working in partnership with Ben, in the first 3 years of our relationship FMC has appointed 10 ‘C’ and ‘SVP’ level candidates across the following disciplines:
