We're attending UKIO 2024!

UKIO is just round the corner! The UK's premier imaging and oncology event starts in a months time, and our very own Adam Leeder will be there to see the cutting-edge tech and meet with people from the industry.
With this in mind, we thought we'd chat to Adam to hear his thoughts ahead of this year's event.
Which companies are you most excited to speak to at the event?
Adam - "It's always good to speak to some of the industry leaders to understand what might be in the next iteration of imaging devices, but this year I am really curious to lift the lid on some of the AI and digitisation companies, like Qure.AI, Intelerad and Hexarad, to name a few. To understand how AI and the digital world is being used for real life diagnosis and treatments, is actually mindblowing. It was only 20 years ago we were battling with a family member wanting the phone over you being able to dial into the internet, and less than 2 decades later, computers are diagnosing health issues...mad, right?"
What new, emerging tech do you expect to be on show?
Adam - "As mentioned above, to see some of the AI tools making waves in the industry is really cool, but you can't beat a brand new whopping great big piece of Capital Equipment. It'll be good to further understand MIS Healthcare's offering in the CT and MRI world, with the United Imaging products, to see how Siemens are looking to regain traction within their Ultrasound offering and to see plenty more new releases on the exhibition floor!"
What are your overall expectations for the event?
Adam - "It's become a really good opportunity to immerse ourselves in the Imaging and Diagnostic market. It's great to walk around and see lots of familiar faces, talking all things Imaging and Oncology. Beyond that, it's about learning more about the products we're helping to support, whether that be via hiring Sales, Apps or Service talent. We expect to see another busy Arena, with conversations a plenty on what the next year might bring, but I am certain I speak for everyone when I say that it's just brilliant to network with everyone else that's trying to do their bit to help save lives!"
What are you most looking forward to at UKIO?
Adam - "For me, it's about catching up with as many of my connections as I possibly can. There's no substitute for catching up with people face-to-face in a world that's evermore virtual! We'll certainly be having lots of conversations about the current hiring market, the knock on effects of the Locum world (look out for more on that!), salary trends and more. And of course it's always nice to catch up with people in a slightly more relaxed environment post show, with some light refreshments!"
