The top employers in the dental tech space right now

By Charlotte Clancy

Which employers are coming out on top in the dental tech market?

2024 was quite a year for the dental tech market (take a look at my roundup of some of the biggest news from the space here), so I thought what better thing to do as we head into 2025 than look at who I think are some of the most appealing employers in the space right now. From their tech, to their employee experience, to the things candidates are mentioning to me, here's who I'd have my eye on this year if I was looking to make a career move!

Henry Schein

A powerhouse of dental technology, Henry Schein are a 24,000 strong company focused on the very best in patient care. They're also a popular choice with candidates as they're known for having a great company culture and solid prospects for growing your career.

Dentsply Sirona

Making people smile isn't just an expression at Dentsply Sirona, it is a promise the work towards every day. And they don't just mean that about their customers, at the heart of what they do is making sure their employees are happy and supported. This means lots of their people have been with them a long time! They're also big advocates for diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.

Patterson Dental

Founded all the way back in 1877, Patterson Dental partner with dentists of all sizes to improve patient experience. As well as being a well-respected brand, they're also popular with candidates because of how truly people-focused they are. From top notch training to a range of benefits that go beyond the norm, they're a great option for people looking for a company to really grow with.

Straumann

60 years of Swiss engineering is at the heart of Straumann's operations and has helped them to become one of the top brands in global dentistry. And with a fantastic range of benefits and bonus structures available, they're a good choice for people looking to join an innovative leader within the industry.

Ivoclar

Starting as a family business, Ivoclar are all about helping people have the very best oral health. If you're looking for an employer where you can really make a positive contribution, as well as developing your career, then Ivoclar are a great choice. They also take employee wellbeing seriously, with solid healthcare benefits and flexible working hours at the heart of their offering.

Perceptive

Perceptive made the news this year for performing the world's first fully automated dental procedure, and since then their name has been in the heads of candidate (for good reason!). From AI to robotics, they're investing in the future of the dental space and looking to revolutionise the industry, So for people looking to be on the cutting-edge of the market, they're a popular choice.

Pearl

It's a similar story with Pearl, who are 'reimagining dentistry' as we know it with their AI-powered tech. They're proving popular with candidates (and not only because they're a Cali-based start-up) because of their people-first approach, think things like totally flexible working locations, unlimited PTO and investments in professional development.

DentalMonitoring

Also spearheading the AI revolution in the dental space - specifically orthodontics - is DentalMonitoring. They're the only company with FDA De Novo and MDR approval for their AI-powered software, so they're leading the way in the orthodontics software space. As employers, they're known for having a great company culture and are growing rapidly right now, being particularly popular with candidates who want to work with truly innovative tech.
