So, who were the top medical device employers of 2018?

CMR Surgical

The Cambridge-based surgical robotics company are on the cusp of having their Versius surgical robot CE marked, and it was announced last year that this system is set to enter over 70 NHS hospitals in 2019. They’re the 6th fastest growing company in the UK, and will no doubt be searching for top talent to facilitate this growth. Their life-changing, innovative robots make them incredibly attractive to candidates, after all, medical device sales people love working with the top tech on the market.

ConvaTec

2018 was a great year for ConvaTec and Avelle, the world’s first negative pressure and hydrofibre combination wound care product. With an exciting product portfolio being a main motivator to move for talent in the medtech space, this makes ConvaTec a popular choice.

Olympus

Last week Olympus were awarded top employer certification by the Top Employers Institute. This isn’t the first time they’ve been awarded this, and they are recognised as a strong brand and popular choice in the market. They’re known for providing exceptional employee development opportunities and really look after their staff, something that medtech talent really value in an employer.

Optos

In May 2018 they released their latest ultra-widefield retinal imaging offering, the Monaco. This system is the first of its kind to offer integrated OCT capabilities that Optos at the top of their market. Optos has an incredibly strong brand and innovative, market-leading technologies. Both of these things are huge selling points in attracting top talent.

Zeiss

Not to be outdone by Optos, Zeiss also had a fantastic 2018, releasing their Clarus ultra-widefield system. There’s no wonder their innovative product portfolio is often cited as a reason why they’re such an attractive company to work for.
