We are supporting a client at the pinnacle of US Motorsport, with a track record of podiums, poles and championships under their belt. This is an exciting time to join their team as they seek to amp up their competitive position with a focus on transforming their current vehicle dynamics.
The role
In this position, you will develop and optimise the ride performance of our client’s car as well as the tools required to do so.
Other responsibilities include:
- Develop methodologies and metrics to understand and optimise the ride performance of the car on track
- Lead the development of the ride tools
- Lead the development and the modelling of the damper / inverter package
- Coordinate the correlation of the physical 7 poster rig and the virtual poster rig
The requirements
Minimum 5 years in a top-level motorsport environment (F1, WEC, IndyCar), as well as…
- BS/MSC degree in applicable engineering field, physics, mathematics, or related discipline
- Strong background in vehicle modelling from a motorsports or F1 environment and strong knowledge of vehicle dynamics
- Proficient in at least one high-level programming language such as MATLAB, Python, C/C++
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a passion to do your best is a must
- Team player with a passion to succeed
- Willing to travel (<25%)
