We are supporting an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic New Space environment within a scale-up business. Our client is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join their global Government Solutions Sales team in the US.  

The company 

Our client enable businesses to make informed decisions in commercial and governmental projects by providing a reliable and well-renowned satellite imagery service. Their satellites can take photos of Earth at any point in time, in any condition, allowing customers to make better decisions. They are quickly growing and evolving into a global force of professionals with backgrounds in engineering, software development and radar technology. 

The role

This role is a balance between managing key customer accounts on a long-term basis and identifying new opportunities across America. You will be passionate about customer success as you will act as the key point of contact for your assigned accounts. 

As well as that, your day-to-day responsibilities will include things like: 

  • Prospecting key accounts to identify the important buyer personas 
  • Developing and executing penetration strategy 
  • Building, growing, and developing key business relationships 
  • Supporting proposals for Government prospects  
  • Working with marketing to coordinate lead-generation campaigns  

The requirements

3+ years of sales experience with federal agencies, in addition to:

  • Strong account management or account executive background 
  • Geospatial sales experience is preferred as well as an understanding of natural disasters 
  • Passionate about relationship building, customer success, complex problem solving and thought leadership  
  • Comfortable presenting in a large setting  
  • Self-motivated and proactive work style 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced start-up environment  
  • Ability to travel to client meetings or conferences
