We continue to support world leaders in software solutions, for the energy and industrial market sectors, in their search for new talent. Our client is looking for a software (SaaS) salesperson to join their team in Germany to support their Chemical Product Stewardship portfolio.

Our client is a leading software vendor providing Environmental Health & Safety and Risk Management solutions across the globe. They strive to achieve operational excellence to develop a safer, more sustainable, and more productive world. The product can serve a diverse number of sectors, from oil, gas, and petrochemicals to discrete manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government, and many more.

The role

You will be responsible for generating new business opportunities within the world of chemical operations (chemical product stewardship); initially, phone-based sales, identifying client pain points, and securing and arranging face-to-face meetings.

As a business, they're hugely people-centric and are dedicated to excellent customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty. Within this role, you will be the personification of our client’s products and value proposition and join a team that is responsible for driving enormous growth within the business.

Other responsibilities include…

  • Qualifying and disqualifying new business opportunities while identifying customer pain 
  • Hunting activities (includes cold calling, conferences, trade shows, etc)
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Account Managers
  • Deliver solution presentations to key customers 
  • Negotiating enterprise software contracts 
  • Creating closing plans for forecasted business 
  • Fully comprehending our client’s unique value proposition within the market 

The requirements

You’ll have 5+ years of experience in selling Enterprise Software and Technology solutions to the Global 2000, as well as…

  • Demonstrable success in closing large and complex sales
  • Experience working with or selling to the chemical industry  
  • An understanding of managing compliance data in the chemical industry and their pain points 
  • An understanding of the product sales cycle and its challenges
  • Excellent creative deal-making and negotiation skills
  • Strong new business hunter with a track record of closing major deals
  • Listens to customers and provides the highest level of service
  • Able to maintain effective interpersonal relationships with stakeholders
  • Team-oriented and excels in a complex organisation 
  • Proficient computer literacy skills (MS Office) 
  • Willing and flexible to travel up to 50%
  • Located in Germany
