Perhaps you’re a field service engineer looking to step into a more commercial role? Are you ready to bring your technical expertise to a new challenge? Our client is a market leader in call bell systems and connectivity, and they provide a perfect opportunity for an experienced engineer to make a meaningful impact on the hospital floor. If you’ve got experience in designing fire alarm system infrastructure, they want to hear from you.

A bit about the company and what they can offer you?
We've partnered with a digital solution provider that is looking for energised people to help them tackle the ever-changing demands of the healthcare environment. Their strong heritage - and hefty market share - makes them an exciting place to continue your career in the acute care setting.

As you do just that, you’ll have access to competitive salary and benefits, including performance related commission and car allowance. Opportunities for professional growth and development don't hurt, either.

What you’ll be doing
Within this role, you’ll cover both sales and technical support. You’ll sprinkle your technical expertise throughout the sales process to pursue and close new business opportunities. You’ll also be involved in designing alarm system infrastructure (including fire alarms and nurse call bells) that meet client needs.

Your day to day might look a little like this:
  • Visiting customers on-site to discuss ongoing projects
  • Providing prompt service to build strong client relationships that reap future rewards
  • Preparing technical presentations and proposals, including tender responses
  • Supporting software implementation for alarm system infrastructure
  • Collaborating with the internal sales team to co-ordinate a business strategy

A bit about you

Ideally, you’ll be based in the UK South East with the ability to travel across the region, including Central London.

You’ll also have previous experience in designing fire alarm system infrastructure (certifications are a plus!). You’ll also have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a similar Engineering or Electronics discipline.

A few other key skills we are looking for:
  • A background in a field service or technical support role, ideally 3+ years
  • Excellent relationship building skills and a passion for delivering first-class customer service
  • Strong communication both internally and externally, including presentation skills
