Propulsion Test Technician

What you’ll be doing
You will be involved in the set-up and delivery of powertrain testing projects for key OEM and tier 1 clients. You will work on combustion engines and transmissions as well as opportunities to work on hybrid systems and electric propulsion.

Your day to day might look a little like this: 

• Mechanical and electrical rigging, fitting and operating test systems 
• General engineering tasks 
• Supporting propulsion test programmes 
• Resolving customer complaints 
• Recommending and coordinating appropriate corrective actions 
• Identifying problems and faults as they arise 

A bit about you 
Ideally, you’ll be based in Milton Keynes.

You’ll have a vocational qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, but extensive experience will also be considered.

A few other key skills we are looking for: 

• Proven Powertrain or Vehicle component fitting skills 
• Practical knowledge of vehicle systems 
• Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems  
• Adaptable and comfortable working autonomously  
• Comfortable using hand and power tools for manual tasks 
• Excellent understanding of H&S
