Our client, the market leader in the structural engineering sector, is going through global expansion plans and is looking to hire several Product Managers as part of their mission to become a more product-led business.

The business is now heavily investing in software development to build out solutions that improve the traceability and management of projects for their customers across the world.
 
The role
As a Product Manager, focused on the Equipment business unit, your role is key to positioning a compelling offer to customers in the construction space. You will be a champion for change and development in the organisation and act as an evangelist for internal stakeholders to join the journey to being more product-led.

You’ll ensure the customer's voice is heard throughout the portfolio’s commercial positioning, marketing, and pricing, and leverage our client’s offering. While the business is currently serving its existing user base well, expansion ambitions mean they need to build solutions for customers they want to acquire.

You’ll take customer insights and technical requirements to R&D and Marketing teams to identify new application opportunities that will stimulate business growth.
Other responsibilities include:

  • Creating a results-focussed culture 
  • Keeping a keen eye on product performance 
  • Driving continuous product improvement 
  • Ensuring all customer requirements are met 
  • Execute product plans to budget and timelines ensuring risks are identified and mitigated 
  • Providing sales support by attending customer meetings and creating internal sales collateral 
  • Developing product training for a smooth sales process 

 
The requirements
You’ll be an experienced Product Manager with 5+ years of commercial experience under your belt. Other requirements include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant commercial discipline is a plus 
  • Hands-on experience working in a manufacturing, supply chain, capital equipment or Construction technology environment 
  • Service and software product management experience 
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment 
  • Experience in managing customer relationships, including C-suite
  • Driven team player who can cross-collaborate 
  • Awareness and experience in business operations and business strategy
  • Able to collate and present market research data 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a positive and problem-solving attitude
  • Flexible and willing to wear many hats
