Motivated by solving complex transmission and driveline solutions at component and system level by design and/or analysis and simulation methods? Our client is looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join their team in designing and prototyping propulsion systems for contemporary technology.

What you’ll be doing
You will utilise state of the art simulation techniques and design tools to design, develop and prototype transmission, driveline and actuation systems. Whilst helping to combine and develop new techniques and analysis methods for use within the company.
Your day to day might look a little like this:
- Responsible for the delivery of technical work packages and whole projects
- Engineer through design tools, calculations, analysis, simulation, drawings and technical reporting
- Manage your own and others workload within small to medium sized projects
- Take ownership of proposals/quotes from initiation through submission with the client
- Support technical capability initiatives within the Mechanical Engineering function
A bit about you
Ideally, you’ll be based in the UK.
You’ll have a demonstrable background of design and/or analysis and simulation of precision rotating components, structural components and complete systems.
A few other key skills our client is looking for:
- Experience of automotive transmission design and/or analysis and simulation
- High standard of competency in design and/or CAE analysis of transmission and driveline systems
- Track record of innovation to benefit the outcome of powertrain projects
- Managed small to medium sized projects both technically and commercially
- Strong understanding of the fundamental principles of mechanical engineering and experience in applying them to solve complex problems
