Are you an individual with significant experience in HR? Want to be a part of a dynamic startup? We are supporting our client in the search for a Head of People and Talent to be based in the United Arab Emirates.
 

A bit about our client, and what they can offer you
From their humble beginnings in the US operations space, our client has since spread to the UAE and KSA. Why are we making a big song and dance about them? They're doing important work for the sustainability of fleet operations.

Their AI-powered analytics platform is currently automating machinery for over 300 companies worldwide. Not only that, but they’re transforming equipment into smart machines. And they already have several awards under their belt – as well as a series A funding round worth $30 million, hot off the press.

What you’ll be doing
In this role you will lead and implement HR strategies that support the company's business goals and drive performance. In particular you will oversee all components of HR including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management and more. Your work will play a critical role in shaping the company’s culture ensuring it aligns with the client’s values.

Your day to day might look a little like this: 

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy 
  • Enforce a work-from-office culture and help facilitate a cooperative and positive working environment 
  • Oversee performance management processes 
  • Develop and manage learning and development programs to support employee growth and career development 
  • Manage compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with business objectives 
  • Identification, engagement and attraction of talent to successfully scale the business, with a focus on sourcing for technical roles, e.g software developers  


A bit about you 
Ideally, you’ll be based in Dubai.

You’ll be an expert in HR with at least 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role with the added advantage of accumulating experience in a startup environment.

A few other key skills our client is looking for: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) 
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices 
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and strategies
