What you’ll be doing
As Head of Commercial and Sales, you’ll be a driving force behind revenue growth by shaping the commercial strategy and leading the sales function in achieving their business objectives.
Your day to day might look a little like this:
• Leading a high performing sales team by fostering a collaborative and innovative culture encouraging creativity and professional growth
• Developing and executing a global strategy, focusing equal parts of market expansion and existing account growth
• Overseeing the sales pipeline, ensuring leads are effectively tracked from prospecting to closure
• Managing the commercial function, including pricing strategies, risk assessments and financial forecasting
• Ensuring effective use of CRM systems within your team
A bit about you
Ideally, you’ll be office based in the North of the UK with the ability to travel as needed, including occasional international work.
You’ll have proven experience in a senior commercial or sales role, with a strong track record of achieving and exceeding performance targets.
A few other key skills we are looking for:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• Experience in the Energy, Engineering, or Technology sectors
• Strong leadership and people management skills; you must be able to inspire a team towards a high-performance culture
• Strong commercial acumen, understanding business profitability and risk management
• A strategic mind, with a data-driven and analytical approach to decision-making
• Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing business environment
