What you’ll be doing
As Head of Business Development, you will come in and lead a team of 3 Business Development Managers to exciting new heights. Your goal will be to steer the direction of this team, supporting them in their professional development and ensuring targets are met.
Your day to day might look a little like this:
• Developing and executing a BD strategy for your team to follow, helping them execute their daily goals
• Keeping existing contacts ‘warm’ and maximising mutual value, as well as reaching out to new contacts in the market. Relationship management is crucial for this role.
• Working collaboratively with other internal leaders, including operations, finance, and marketing, to deliver commercial growth for the company
• Maintaining constant contact with the Commercial Director ensuring priorities are aligned and forecasting is accurate and positive
A bit about you
Ideally, you’ll be based in London, UK with the ability to travel for site visits across the UK.
You’ll have a proven track record in Business Development roles as well as experience of managing a team in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
A few other key skills we are looking for:
• A player manager – someone that is super focused on revenue generation in their teams and isn’t afraid to get in the field and work themselves
• An understanding and appreciation for the medical industry is desired, but a willingness to learn everything about the market is essential
• Ability to assess market conditions, including industry trends and competitors, then turn this into actionable strategies for your team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including great networking and relationship-building abilities
