Our client is seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join their team in Preston and be responsible for streamlining, simplifying, and improving core continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operations.

The role
Within this role, you will enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise processes to ensure higher levels of quality and productivity.  
Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy  
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify key areas for improvement 
  • Analysing current manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies 
  • Implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline workflows 
  • Providing training and coaching to employees 
  • Monitoring project progress, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions 

The requirements
First-hand experience in leading and managing manufacturing improvement projects, as well as…

  • HND or Degree-level qualification in engineering, science, or another relevant technical subject  
  • Manufacturing background 
  • Project management and leadership skills 
  • Proven track record of successful process improvements  
  • Comfortable preparing and delivering presentations  
  • Lean Manufacturing methodology and implementation  
  • Six Sigma/Prince 2 qualification or willing to undertake a course 
  • Strong influencing and communication skills  
  • Competent using all MS Office applications 
  • A full UK driving licence
