The role 

As Warehouse and Distribution Manager you’ll lead and successfully manage the despatch, warehouse and customer experience teams. Your focus will be on the logistics, despatch, export, and warehousing function within the company’s operations. You will work closely with the Logistics team to ensure a seamless flow of goods between the site and stocking locations. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Measuring and reviewing KPI’s for teams and individuals  

• Ensuring operational excellence for the customer base 

• Creating revenue and margin developments from projects 

• Translating client strategy into actionable projects 

• Managing all warehouse and dispatch areas  

• Driving continuous improvement initiatives  

• Ensuring compliance is met with all laws and regulations 

• Designing and implementing change projects 

• Managing budgets without compromising customer service 

• Establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders  

The requirements 

You will have significant experience in a logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management role within the manufacturing industries, as well as… 

• Degree in a relevant discipline 

• Experience of warehouse and inventory management 

• Experience of the implementation and operations of WMS 

• Able to investigate complex issues and solve problems 

• Strong analytical skills 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Good people management skills and a track record of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team  

• Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite)

• Strong project management skills  

• Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently  

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Ambitious, with a passion for continuous improvement
