Our client is searching for a self-sufficient individual to join their well-respected medical device organisation as part of the Uptime Support team across the West Midlands. Focused on developing clinically advanced surgical instruments and solutions, our client is passionate about improving patient care in healthcare worldwide. 

The role 

As an Uptime Support Manager, you will regularly visit all customers across the territory, build long-term relationships and rapport and educate end-users in the handling of our client’s wide range of medical devices. In this role, you will deliver exciting and engaging training sessions focusing mainly on Endoscopes and Endoscopic Decontamination Equipment and become the main point of contact for the customers. 

Other responsibilities include: 

• Assisting medical professionals with training and proper use of the medical devices 

• Conducting onsite Endoscope health checks 

• Setting action plans to hit and exceed targets and KPIs 

• Ensuring all future sales opportunities are maximised  

• Analysing repair data to highlight improvements 

• Carrying out onsite customer audits 

• Recording details of every customer visit in the CRM system 

• Supporting situations which could affect the day-to-day running of departments 

• Interacting with people from all sorts of backgrounds 

• Creating presentations, group activities, hands-on sessions, and quizzes  

 
The requirements 

You’ll have medical, technical, or clinical experience, as well as… 

• A bachelor’s degree in life science, business, or another relevant subject 

• Experience in Endoscopy Decontamination (very desirable) 

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role 

• Able to build strong, long-lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels 

• Hyper organised, self-sufficient, and able to manage your diary 

• Strong presence in a room, able to capture people’s attention, and engage a team 

• Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills 

• Strong computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office) 

• Professional attitude with an eagerness to learn 

• Excellent rapport building  

• Flexible and willing to travel, including across Europe 

• Full UK driving licence and willing to complete long periods of driving  

 
There is no medical experience required for this role as there will be 10-12 weeks of training given. During this time, there will be occasional nights away from home throughout the UK as you complete the training needed for the role.
