Job description

Our client is currently looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and creative Communications Manager to join their close-knit team across the UK and support the marketing strategies for the Worktop category. 

 

The company

Our client is a global manufacturing and distribution company who completes commercial and residential projects all over the world. They focus on surfaces and laminates used for furniture, office and retail space, countertops, and worktops. They sell their products through a network of company-owned independent distributors across the UK, North America and internationally. 

 

The role

As a Communications Manager, you will provide innovation within our client’s Worktop category across the UK. You will be responsible for defining the commercial and brand strategy for your specific geography and channels. You will articulate the strategies and their implementation to both internal and external audiences.  

Other responsibilities include:

  • Assuring consistency across the activities  

  • Driving the execution of projects  

  • Monitoring information on competitor activities 

  • Developing knowledge of customer-specific needs based on segment and type 

  • Understanding the customer journey on different media 

  • Coordinating the marketing mix 

  • Proposing innovative marketing tools to outpace the competition 

  • Optimising the spent and usage of the budgets 

  • Monitoring and replenishing marketing tools based on data and forecasts 

 

The requirements

You will have 5-10 years of experience working in communication preferably of consumer products, as well as… 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject  

  • Highly developed business acumen 

  • Social competencies to lead execution across different teams 

  • Structured approach to work  

  • Winning spirit and strong leadership skills 

  • Proven track record of creative solutions 

  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, layout and design skills 

  • Knowledge of different media production technologies 

  • Proficient computer literacy skills (including MS Office)

  • English native speaker (additional languages such as French/German are a plus)
