The role

As the Turbomachinery Manager, you will act as the primary lead on various turbomachinery projects working alongside a talented team of experts. You will apply engineering principles in statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer and mechanical design to develop, build, and assess hardware, and specialised products. Collaborating with other engineering staff, you will help to coordinate activities for test engineers, mechanical technicians, and other engineering professionals. You will be hands on with planning assembly activities and prototype testing, developing test plans and procedures, conducting test data analysis whilst completing projects within a defined schedule and budget.

The requirements

You will ideally possess a BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (MS preferred) in addition to:

  • Demonstrated management skills and experience leading technical projects (specifically testing of turbomachinery systems). You will possess fundamental knowledge of turbomachinery principles
  • Have been hands-on with building, testing, and troubleshooting turbomachinery. Experience with LabView DAQ software development is highly desired but not essential
  • A track record of successfully managing and leading mechanical engineering staff
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and be an problem-solver.
  • An ability to drive change, manage conflict, and achieve results with a demonstrable track record
  • Must be US citizen or US permanent resident
