A leader in the medical imaging space is currently looking for a Trainee Service Engineer to join their close-knit team and ensure the smooth operation of new and existing medical imaging products. You’ll be tasked with making sure that our client’s systems operate at their best at all times!

As leaders within the x-ray and radiography market, they are investing heavily in their new technology, so that you can be sure you are securing sales for genuinely life changing equipment.

 

The role

In this role you’ll ensure that our client’s high quality medical imaging equipment is maintained to high standards. You’ll be repairing and servicing a range of X-Ray and mammography equipment, making sure these are done in a timely manner. Smooth operations and excellent customer service are key to this role!

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking product repairs and servicing in a timely manner to a high standard
  • Carrying out routine maintenance on equipment
  • Working with customer service engineers on other repairs when required
  • Providing excellent customer service when responding to technical requests
  • Resolving customer enquiries and problems
  • Escalating issues when required to the appropriate team leader
  • Making sure health and safety protocols are followed
  • Undertaking training to keep your knowledge and skills in top shape
  • Maintaining records and paperwork in accordance with required standards

 

 

The requirements

You’ll have previous experience in an engineering role and will have had previous exposure to medical imaging equipment. Other requirements include:

  • Educated to A-Level/BTEC level ideally in an engineering, technical, or science discipline
  • Previous track record in a field-based engineering role
  • Adaptable and eager to learn
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Logical and analytical with the ability to think in an innovative way
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passionate and driven with a can-do attitude
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Full UK driving license and ability to travel
