Our client who specialises in medical device equipment is looking for an individual with a competitive drive and relentless energy to make an immediate impact. If you’re personable and driven with a background in orthopaedic or surgical sales, this could be the perfect role for you!

The company

Our client is a well-respected medical device company who strives to improve patient care and has an unwavering commitment to quality. They have an exciting, broad portfolio of products, spanning orthopaedics, sports medicine, and infection control. Not only this, but they have just launched a game-changing product for hip revision that has already taken the US market by storm! 

The role

In the role of Territory Manager, you’ll directly sell our clients’ orthopaedic and surgical products to consultant surgeons and procurement managers across the Midlands. Additional responsibilities include training and supporting clinicians and theatre staff in their use of our client’s product portfolio and ensuring excellent patient outcomes are achieved.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving and exceeding sales results in line with the annual sales target

  • Ensuring excellent patient outcomes by training and supporting clinicians and theatre staff

  • Undertaking trials and evaluations of the products within the theatre environment

  • Developing a thorough understanding of the product portfolio

  • Presenting at workshops, exhibitions, and educational meetings

  • Delivering excellent customer service

  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 

  • Responding to customer issues

The requirements

You’ll have successful medical sales and/or marketing experience, preferably in the surgical or orthopaedic market area, as well as…

  • Degree level educated is desirable but not essential for outstanding candidates

  • Strong sales track record and evidence of increasing the value of a territory

  • Good negotiation and presentation skills

  • Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills

  • Charismatic and a winning personality

  • Decisive and able to handle criticism and conflict 

  • Strong motivational skills and ability to work in pressurised environments

  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team as well as being self-motivated to work independently

  • Computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office Suite)

  • Ideally, located within the Midlands and willing and flexible to travel across it

This position is open for both Territory and Senior Territory roles in the Midlands. They also offer a bespoke training programme with a real emphasis on coaching, making them a fantastic place to embark upon or continue your medical device sales career! You’ll be fully supported in your role and will be provided with top quality training and development.
