Job description

Our client, a leading CAE simulation software provider, is currently looking for a Territory Account Manager to join their North American team and expand the customer adoption of their portfolio of solutions.

 

The company

Our client is a market-leading prover of multi-physics CAE simulation software, producing incredibly powerful software that seamlessly integrates into CAD modelling to supply accurate data and fast modelling solutions. This software is used in a wide range of applications from powertrain to chemistry to fuel systems, providing productivity improvements for all our client’s customers.

 

The role

As a Territory Account Manager, you’ll focus on analysing the market to identify prospective opportunities with new accounts whilst expanding commercial opportunity with existing customers. You will become a both a business advisor and technical support for customers; you’ll build an understanding of their individual needs in order to design and deliver compelling simulation solutions that meet their requirements and lead to the expansion of the sales pipeline.

Responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for the customer
  • Establishing trusted, long-term customer relationships
  • Contacting leads that have been passed on from the Marketing team
  • Attending industry and customer events
  • Driving outbound sales by prospecting into a new business, divisions, and locations
  • Creating new business prospects through digital channels
  • Leveraging your existing network to identify opportunities
     

The requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Sales Engineer, with a proven ability to learn and communicate technical aspects of a product portfolio by conducting demonstrations. Other requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or another technical discipline)
  • Previous success in sales, with evidence of achieving/exceeding targets
  • Experience selling simulation software (CAE) into manufacturing companies is desirable
  • Confident and eager to network to build relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and logical with strong problem-solving ability
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and MS Office
  • Keen to develop professionally and personally
  • Able to travel when required
