Our client is currently looking for a French speaking Technical Support Representation to join their team in Fife, Scotland. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic business that have a clear product focus and market offering.

Our client’s products are used in the early detection, management and effective treatment of disorders and diseases effecting the retina such as retinal detachments and tears, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. With 30 years of experience, our client is proud to be recognised as a leading provider of devices to eye car professionals.  


The role 

As Technical Support Representative, you will provide first class support, via the telephone and email, to existing customers across the whole product portfolio. You will be responsible for responding to enquiries concerning the operation and configuration of products, supporting windows applications, operating systems, troubleshooting, updates and configuration.   

Responsibilities include: 

  • Supporting the field engineers with remote technical support  

  • Working with a growing multilingual team 

  • Supporting customers across the European region 

  • Providing excellent customer service 

  • Supporting customers on all operational aspects of the equipment 

  • Providing remote diagnosis and repair support when needed 


The requirements 

You will have relevant IT/technical qualifications or proven track record in an aligned role, as well as: 

  • Experience of Windows Consumer Operating and Server Operating systems 

  • Knowledge and practical experience of Active Directory 

  • Experience of working in an external customer facing role 

  • Able to manage customer problems and take ownership of the resolutions 

  • Driven, motivated and a strong problem-solver 

  • Excellent customer service skills   

  • Strong computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office suite)

  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills 

  • Strong communication skills with various audiences (both written and verbal) 

  • Fluent in French and English  

  • Ideally located in Fife, Scotland
