Job description

Our client is looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to support a variety of industries in North America. This is an individual contributor role. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a global IoT player.

Our client is a global IoT player which has been labelled as one of the organisations actively shaping and pioneering the Industrial Internet. Our client supports customers focused on delivering infrastructure, tunneling, rail, structural and environmental monitoring.  

 

The role 

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you’ll increase the current revenue by assisting local partners increase their business and find new opportunities in this growing marketplace.   

Other responsibilities include…  

  • Evaluating the customer's requirement regarding system application 

  • Assisting customers with troubleshooting and providing world-class technical support  

  • Helping to identify new business opportunities and challenges faced by customers  

  • Supporting events, technical talks, and conferences 

  • Preparing proposals, relevant records, data, and documentation 

  • Providing market intelligence for the specific area and its customers  

  • Helping to develop the market size in the USA 

 

The requirements 

You’ll have at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position internationally and in the sale of services and equipment, preferably in the civil or mining industries, as well as… 

  • Degree in Mining, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar 

  • Successful business experience in the field of sensors 

  • Autonomous, strategic, and excellent interpersonal skills 

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills  

  • Natural curiosity for new technologies 

  • Culture of quality service and customer relationships  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required 

  • Fluent in English  

  • Flexible and willing to travel (25% of the time, includes some international travel) 

  • Based in the USA and holds permits to both live and work in the country
