Are you a commercially minded, self-motivated medical device salesperson? A well-respected ophthalmology company who are focused on advancing ophthalmic technologies are looking for Technical Sales Manager to be responsible for sales activities and manage a portfolio of surgical and diagnostic capital devices across the North of the UK.

They are passionate about developing a range of high-quality, innovative optical technologies for the treatment of eye diseases and vision impairment. With a reputation for quality, they are known for providing outstanding products to the healthcare market.

The role

As a Technical Sales Manager you’ll be responsible for sales activities in the North UK territory. You’ll be generating new leads, growing sales in line with business targets, and retaining ongoing business across your region. You’ll work with the full range of the company’s capital equipment portfolio, including diagnostic and surgical technologies.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • All sales activities within your region
  • Generating new leads and new business
  • Sales growth in line with targets
  • Building and maintaining relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Development of KOLs
  • Promotion of the product portfolio across the region
  • Preparing sales forecasts and maintaining a sales pipeline
  • Delivering product presentations and business proposals
  • Using clinical documentation to relay information in clinical environments
  • Identifying competitor and market trends
  • Providing technical support and product demonstrations to clinical stakeholders
  • Preparing commercial proposals
  • Attending exhibitions and conferences as required

 

The requirements

You will have experience in medical device sales, ideally in ophthalmology, as well as…

  • Strong track record in a sales role
  • Knowledge of the ophthalmology market
  • Understanding of sales and procurement processes
  • Able to identify opportunities to maximise sales
  • Strong commercia acumen
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively when required
  • Knowledge of conceptual selling desirable
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
