Are you a recent graduate who is outgoing and commercially focused? Do you want to kick start your career in medical device sales? Our client is currently looking for a confident individual to join their team and take on this trainee medical-technology sales role.   

The company 

Our client is a well-respected, dynamic medical device organisation who specialises in surgical energy devices. Its mission is to provide innovative energy products that are used in surgical procedures around the world. They are supported by a strong research and development arm, joining forces with leading universities and hospitals in product development processes. 

The role 

As a Technical Representative, you will be responsible for supporting the commercial and clinical activities on the South Coast of England. Working alongside the Area Sales Manager you will support the clinical use of our client’s product portfolio in both NHS and private sector hospitals.   

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Delivering product training and product trials 

  • Mapping competitor products 

  • Offering general field support to customers  

  • Supporting sales activities for the product portfolio 

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers  


The requirements 

You’ll be degree level educated in a science-based role, as well as: 

  • 12 months of sales or commercial sales experience 

  • Medical-technology experience is advantageous 

  • Commercial sales training would be a plus 

  • Experience in a clinical environment is desirable  

  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office) 

  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as well as part of a team 

  • Competitive and determined  

  • Keen to develop both professionally and personally 

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) 

  • Flexible and willing to travel across the territory
