They’re looking for an experienced, successful Supply Chain Manager to join their team.

The role

As a Supply Chain Manager you’ll be responsible for executing planning strategies for ordering, Material Requirements Planning, and supply strategies. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a growing brand by helping to improve business through managing purchasing.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the development of planning strategies
  • Execute and manage the purchase order lifecycle through process, reporting, and metrics
  • Determine need and confirm purchase orders
  • Manage and resolve expedites, reschedules and supply issues
  • Lead on purchase order accuracy to drive effectiveness
  • Support on process execution, vendor issues, and problem solving
  • Ensure accuracy of data and records in the planning and purchasing system
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, including managing expectations and driving continuous improvement
  • Liaise with suppliers on improvements in cost, quality, lead times etc.
  • Support the Product Management and Sourcing teams
  • Lead on the creation and execution of global and business unit processes, reporting and metrics
  • Act as a decision maker for the strategic direction of the procurement team
  • Provide insight on purchasing trends and performance
  • Visit suppliers to determine suitability
  • Participate in supplier audits
  • Organise and maintain efficient process controls

 

The requirements

You will have over 10 years of experience in progressive purchasing, as well as:

  • Experience with purchasing, inventory, logistics and supplier management
  • Experience in the management of a purchasing team (preferably over 5 years)
  • Bachelors (or equivalent) degree in business
  • Previous experience in the medical industry
  • ISO quality systems knowledge
  • Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office
  • Able to manage supplier relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Evidence of a customer service focused attitude
