Do you possess strong interpersonal and collaborative skills? Our client is currently looking for an enthusiastic Sales and Operations Director to join their team in Lincoln and continue their impressive pipeline of innovation. 

 

The company 

Our client is a global engineering and manufacturing firm with over 115 years of experience. They are a Tier 1 supplier focused on the development and production of high value, lower volume rubber/polymer-based products for a variety of industries including automotive, aerospace, medical and defence markets globally. Backed by a major rubber manufacturer, this role will play a key part in the further growth of the organisation and with this part of the business expecting to grow the most.  

 

The role 

As a Sales and Operations Director, you will focus on aligning the Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing and Supply Chain functions to ensure customers are delivered an outstanding service. You’ll be responsible for accurately planning for capacity and demand to achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets. 

Other responsibilities include: 

  • Providing regular and accurate sales forecasts to the General Manager and the wider business 

  • Liaising closely with the Manufacturing Director and Sales Director to deliver products efficiently and effectively to customers 

  • Maintaining an effective working relationship with the General Manager and other members of the Senior Leadership Team 

  • Acting as the company’s main advisor on all issues relating to Supply Chain functions 

  • Ensuring suppliers comply with all necessary internal and external legislation 

  • Effectively managing the operational costs

  • Analysing worldwide business trends to ensure that the company maintains a competitive position in the market 

The requirements 

You’ll have global experience of supply chain and logistics management, manufacturing processes and customer service, as well as: 

  • Degree level educated, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering discipline 

  • Exceptional knowledge of supply chains and logistics 

  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams 

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills  

  • Excellent customer service skills   

  • Able to communicate sales processes and strategies 

  • Detail orientated and analytical 

  • Innovative and able to resolve challenges  

  • High level of business intelligence and commercial acumen

  • Excellent motivation, flexibility, and personal commitment
