The role

The Strategic Account Manager will deliver and own revenue objectives by seeking new business opportunities within in new accounts whilst driving utilisation within existing strategic accounts over a defined territory. You'll be working with a full portfolio of solutions.

You will join their talented regional sales team where you will strategically and tactically plan and execute your sales approaches to achieving your goals. With the support of their highly motivated and advanced support functions (including marketing, technical support and more) you will engage with new prospects to build new and long-lasting relationships. You will operate across the Chemicals and Refinery markets by educating prospects on FMC’s client’s performance and operating software, it’s potential ROI and more.

The requirements

You will ideally possess a degree, or higher, in Business, Marketing or Engineering in addition to:

  • 5+ years’ experience in sales, account management or business development ideally in the industrial markets and must have sold complex software or technology
  • You must be proactive, passionate, motivated and a fantastic relationship builder to help understand customer problems and bring FMC’s software portfolio to life
  • You must be a self-starter and a clear communicator. You will have the knowledge and experience of creating and executing effective and proven sales strategies
  • Ideally have the analytical and commercial skills/awareness to appreciate market trends and to capitalise on opportunities which present themselves
  • You must be able flexible to travel regularly and when required
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and be fluent in both English and German
