Are you an outgoing self-starter looking to take your sales career to the next level? Our client is currently looking for a highly motivated Strategic Account Manager to join their team in Germany and sell software solutions that are revolutionising the future of manufacturing.

Their software solutions have propelled productivity across the aerospace, building technologies, PMT and SPS sectors. Having garnered a global reputation for streamlining performance whilst ensuring safety and security, their products and services can be found on virtually every commercial, defence and space aircraft.


The role 

As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll build and execute account plans for key customers by developing a strong understanding of customer problems and positioning our client’s software portfolio to provide effective solutions. You’ll be responsible for building a world-class account management strategy, incorporating sales strategies to increase revenue and propel the sales pipeline. 
Responsibilities include: 

  • Driving key customer relationship development, including C-suite 

  • Identifying the business priorities and initiatives of customers 

  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by putting strategies and processes in place to meet customer needs 

  • Utilising CRM and sales metrics/KPIs to effectively manage the sales process 

  • Hitting and exceeding sales targets 

  • Maintaining and developing the sales pipeline 

  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities 


The requirements 

You’ll have 5+ years of experience in enterprise software solution sales and/or B2B software sales, as well as: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline 

  • Software sales experience within an industrial, pharmaceutical, fast moving consumer goods or food and beverage manufacturing domain 

  • Demonstrable experience selling to Directors, VPs and C-suite executives 

  • Able to negotiate high value or complex business arrangements with customers 

  • Knowledge of sales methodologies (including Challenger Sales and Strategic Selling) 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills, ideally with a network of C-suite connections from previous roles 

  • Strong project management and prioritising skills 

  • Fluent in German and English 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

  • Resilient and able to thrive within a fast-paced environment 

  • Strategic and results-orientated 

  • Willing to travel with overnight stays
