Our client is a leading software vendor providing Environmental Health & Safety and Risk Management solutions. They strive to achieve operational excellence to develop a safer, more sustainable, and more productive world. The product can serve a diverse number of sectors, from oil, gas, and petrochemical to discrete manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government, and many more. 

The role 

As a Sustainability Consultant, you will focus on empowering our client’s industry-leading customers to achieve environmental and product sustainability by optimising our client’s software to ensure the smooth operation of LCA projects. Your knowledge, research, and input into environmental systems and life cycle thinking will be highly valued during the development of customer strategies and programs that will enable them to reduce their environmental impact. Other responsibilities include: 

• Defining clear and robust project approach processes 

• Managing multiple concurrent projects 

• Analysing customer use of energy, water, waste, and emissions 

• Forming and maintaining relationships with key Fortune 500 clients 

• Identifying the needs of clients and translating these into actionable projects 

• Conducting technical reviews of projects 

• Leading meetings to present project results  

• Creating thought leadership content in your area of expertise 

• Mentoring on industry best practices and technical knowledge 

• Collaborating with teams spanning different regions across the business 

The requirements 

You’ll have 5+ years of LCA experience with a strong background in the Electronics industry, as well as: 

• Degree educated Engineering, Mathematics, or another relevant discipline (Masters or PhD qualification is desirable) 

• Strong understanding of key impact levers 

• Familiarity with corporate sustainability standards is desirable (GRI, CDP, DJSI, B-Corp) 

• Passionate about developing a sustainable future 

• Technically minded and able to confidently learn new software 

• Comfortable developing SO 14040/44 compliant reports 

• Highly organised and able to confidently undertake multiple projects 

• Outstanding information gathering and problem-solving skills 

• Strong interpersonal skills and able to engage with customers 

• Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) 

• High level of computer proficiency (including Microsoft Suite) 

• Flexible and willing to travel internationally up to 20% 

• A US work permit
