FMC Smart Industry continues to support world leaders in software solutions for the energy and industrial market sectors. Our client is looking for a software (SaaS) salesperson to join their team in helping businesses across the globe achieve operational excellence within Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability.

Our client is a leading software vendor providing Environmental Health & Safety and Supply Chain Risk Management solutions across the globe.

They strive to achieve operational excellence to develop a safer, more sustainable, and more productive world. The product can serve a diverse number of sectors, from oil, gas, and petrochemical to discrete manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government, and many more.


The role

You will maximise profitable company sales revenue by identifying, qualifying, negotiating, and closing new business with new and existing clients, this position is primarily selling our client’s software solutions with an unflagging commitment to customer satisfaction, trust, and loyalty.

Other responsibilities include…

  • Qualifying and disqualifying new business opportunities while identifying customer pain

  • Hunting activities (includes cold calling, conferences, trade shows, etc)

  • Cross-functional collaboration with Account Managers

  • Deliver solution presentations to key customers 

  • Negotiating enterprise software contracts 

  • Creating closing plans for forecasted business 

  • Fully comprehending our client’s unique value proposition within the market 


The requirements

The ideal candidate will own sales for a specific product line/geographic territory and will possess the following:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of successful experience in selling Enterprise Software and Technology solutions to the Global 2000

  • Demonstrated success in closing large and complex sales; encourages and contributes to creative deal making; actively leverages role to close sales through appropriate sales channels and partners

  • A strong competency, and willingness, to engage heavily with hunter-style sales activity (as reference above)

  • Experience should include negotiations and/or joint ventures

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • A demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, and ability to navigate and excel in a complex, heavily matrixed organisation

  • High level of initiative and strong business judgement 

  • Has personally led and closed major deals, is well known, and respected within their customer base, and maintains effective interpersonal relationships with key decision makers in customer organisations

  • Able to maintain effective interpersonal relationships with stakeholders

  • Outgoing, personable, and commercially minded 

  • Flexible and willing to travel
