Do you have a strong track record in a Solutions Engineering role? Have you go demonstrable experience demonstrating technical products to customers? Our client is seeking a dynamic Solution Engineer to join their team in the US to support the sales process by providing technical sales support.

Our client delivers a variety of Environmental, Health and Safety services across the globe to help businesses overcome the various complexities of managing their EHS and risk data. In creating a safer and healthier workplace they provide a variety of services including blueprinting, seamless implementation, easy to understand solution training and unmatched service support.

The role

As a Solution Engineer you’ll work closely with sales and services teams to design and deliver product demonstrations, supporting the sales process by providing technical sales support. You’ll show your expert knowledge by presenting products to customers and prospects, as well as at events like conferences and exhibitions. You’ll also be the bridge between customers and the Product Management team, by conveying technical customer requirements.

 

Other responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering product demonstrations and technical support processes
  • Providing technical support to implementation processes
  • Responding to technical elements of RFPs
  • Interpreting and conveying customer requirements
  • Developing sales proposals
  • Identifying and evaluating proof of concept opportunities
  • Providing customer feedback to the Engineering team around issues identified
  • Effectively communicating the benefits of our clients portfolio

 

The requirements

You’ll have at least 3 years’ experience in an aligned Solution Engineering role, working in a customer facing capacity. Other requirements include:

 

  • Degree qualified in Business, MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant discipline
  • Experience with EHS products
  • Experience operating in the EHS/Sustainability/Risk market
  • Comfortable with being customer facing
  • Strong professional presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrable experience demonstrating software solutions
  • Previous experience of executing proof of concept plans
  • A quick learner who is able to learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong understanding of web solutions
  • Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite
  • Able to travel to customers as needed
