FMC Smart Industry is working on an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to join a CAE simulation software provider. Our currently looking for a Simulation Consultant to expand the customer adoption of their portfolio of solutions across the US West Coast.
 
The company

Our client is a market-leading prover of multi-physics CAE simulation software, producing incredibly powerful software that seamlessly integrates into CAD modelling to supply accurate data and fast modelling solutions. This software is used in a wide range of applications from powertrain to chemistry to fuel systems, providing productivity improvements for all our client’s customers.
 
The role

As a Simulation Consultant, you’ll consult for key engineering customers throughout the sales cycle and build foundations for future partnerships that will exceed annual sales quota. You’ll focus on providing technical solutions that incorporate CAE simulation software for automotive engineering problems in order to showcase the value of our client as a partner.

Responsibilities include:

• Analysing customer requirements  

• Delivering top-class technical advice

• Generating and publishing technical content 

• Providing management, analysis, reporting and documentation of consulting activities 

• Supporting marketing, branding, and customer engagement activities  

• Leveraging your existing network to identify opportunities
   

The requirements

You’ll have strong (3+ years’) experience in system simulation, as well as:

• MSc in Engineering (ideally mechanical) or higher 

• Background as an application Engineer

• Knowledge and experience with software consulting and/or support 

• Confident and eager to network and build strong relationships

• Strong work ethic with a clear problem-solving mindset 

• Independent, reliable team player  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Knowledge of another language is a plus 

• Interest in multi-discipline work areas in an international environment  

• Able to travel when required
