Our client is currently seeking a Software Sales Manager to join their team in Italy.

Our client is a leading industrial software company who are committed to playing an essential role in advancing the global digital revolution across, plant, manufacturing and energy industries.

The role

As Software Sales Manager in the digital manufacturing business, your core focus will be on developing sales opportunities and managing the processes within the assigned area, identifying customer needs, and ensuring deadlines are met on time. You will develop and drive the strategic growth vision and objectives for the manufacturing sector and build a world-class account management strategy.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Driving key customer relationship development
  • Leading growth in software licenses and support revenue generation
  • Fulfilling solution definition, strategy planning, and contract negotiation
  • Establishing a deep understanding of customer and business needs
  • Growing the sales pipeline
  • Maintaining multi-year account plans
  • Analysing the market to identify growth opportunities
  • Ensuring operational excellence for the customer base

The requirements

You’ll have significant experience in sales with a proven track record of selling industrial software into the manufacturing sector, as well as:

  • A degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated high target achiever
  • High levels of commercial judgment are required with strong business acumen
  • Able to build strong, professional relationships with stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Fluent in Italian and English
  • An EU Work permit
  • Experience in selling Automation software and Manufacturing Execution Systems
  • Domain expertise in the Food & Beverage industry
